I would call it the evolution of society to the admirable realisation that the right to treatment is in fact a BASIC HUMAN RIGHT. I pay around 80 euro's in health insurence. While this doesn't cover everything it sure as hell is little. And you now the best part about it? I get 60 euro's BACK from the government each month so in theory I only pay 20 euro's a month for coverage. And no it doesn't ruin our HC system, if you look at the stats (and I have, extensively) you will see that we own the US on health care. Epic ownage.

It is optional here in holland. You can choose between government coverage or private coverage. With government coverage you pay more taxes but more gets covered and with private coverage you pay less taxes but you have to pay more costs. And no it is not destroying our economy. I had the same thought on my way into work this morning: it doesn't matter how many people like McCain; the only real motivation for the Reds to vote this year is if they are Veterans, Christian Crazies, or are "afraid of Obama the socialist". Those don't add up to the number of people smitten by Obama and the number of people who associate McCain with Bush. The Palin thing confuses me. I don't understand why everyone isn't repulsed by her. She makes me nauseated. I guess it's the Jesus.

Actually, there will be a rally in MN at the end of the month for Paul. He hasn't formally dropped out of the race. While I concede that it is unlikely he will run, he is the best hope for this country. If he doesn't run, I will vote for Ralph Nader and Matt Gonzalez, both of whom have solid plans for this country from which they do not vary, and who do NOT change stances based upon political expediency. Heck, I would even vote for Barr at this point, if it meant Nobama or McBush didn't get in.
